| Intec works with pharmaceutical companies to co-develop or co-license drug products suitable for delivery using Accordion Pill ™ products. The company's pilot production facility currently produces “clinical batches” of Accordion Pill™ products.
The company's strategy is based on a two-pronged approach: the vertical drug development approach and the horizontal out-license approach.
Drug Development
Intec has identified various target drugs that are either generic or close to patent expiration, where increase in gastric retention could offer a competitive advantage, should new formulations be developed. In this model, Intec will develop its own drug product until it reaches the end of Phase I. At that stage, Intec will out-license the product to a partner that will take responsibility for the subsequent development and marketing stages.
Out-License
Intec expects to license its drug delivery technology to pharmaceutical companies for use in combination with their existing or pipeline products, on a reimbursement of development cost basis, in addition to down payments, milestone payments and royalties out of net sales. We invite you to evaluate the Accordion Pill™ gastric retentive platform, either on-site or at Intec's pilot production facility. Whether you are seeking new administration routes for existing drugs, or have molecules under development that suffer the limitations of a narrow absorption window, the Intec Pharma's Accordion Pill ™ products can help advance your company's development efforts.
