Dr. LeWitt is a professor of neurology at Wayne State University School of Medicine and directs the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Program at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan USA, where he also maintains a large movement disorders subspecialty practice. His clinical and basic neuroscience research has targeted to neurodegenerative and symptomatic therapies for Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders, and the range of research interests has included animal models of neurological disease, biomarkers, gene therapy and pharmacokinetic analysis. Dr. LeWitt is affiliated with the Parkinson Study Group and other clinical research consortia, and has extensive experience in clinical trials and regulatory aspects of drug development.
